A significant stir was caused at the Bengaluru City Railway Station on Friday night when a shipment of nearly three tonnes of meat arrived from Jaipur. The meat, meticulously packed into approximately 150 boxes, raised alarms among railway officials and the public alike.

The commotion was fueled by Puneeth Kerehalli, a well-known cow vigilante, who alleged that the consignment contained dog meat being imported into the city. This claim led to immediate concerns and panic among the authorities and the gathered crowd.

Abdul Razzaq, the meat dealer responsible for the shipment, vehemently denied these accusations. He clarified that the meat was legally ordered and consisted of sheep meat, not dog meat. Razzaq stated, "We have legal documents to prove it. One can see the tail of the animal that was slaughtered. It's sheep and not dog."

Razzaq further accused Kerehalli of fabricating the allegation for monetary gain. The situation drew a large crowd, prompting police deployment to manage the escalating tension.

The incident has sparked a broader discussion on meat imports and the need for transparency and stringent checks to prevent such controversies in the future.
